These work days provide our volunteers the opportunity to help build on the railroad, perform routine maintenance, and more. Workdays typically operate between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, and a lunch. Our public run days see nearly 800 riders over three hours giving our many volunteers the opportunity to help with loading and unloading riders, answer questions, concessions, and more. The day also serves as a fundraiser to help fund the operational costs of the organization. Volunteer hours start in the morning and typically finish around 5 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, and a lunch.
